LOCATION:

Villa Valva is a taste of the real Italian countryside.

90 minutes from Naples airport, watch out for the buffalo grazing as you travel along the motorway. Located in the medieval village of Valva, 510 mtrs above sea level, with stunning views all round.

Mountain walks or gentle ambles all are possible from here, bring your mountain bike and explore this beautiful unspoilt area.

The Villa has a landscaped Mediterranean garden, containing various fruit and olive trees, an outdoor swimming pool, and seating areas for eating al fresco. Daily the goat and sheep herd from the neighbours pass the rear gate, as they go up the mountain to graze.

During July and August the famous Villa d'Ayala in Valva is open to the public and you maybe lucky enough to visit during one of the musical production in the open amphitheatre.

Contursi Terme is a 10 minute car journey away, where you relax and be spoilt with massage or thermal spas.

Oliveti Citra is another 10 minute car journey for wonderful restaurants or pizzeria, or just a stroll in the Thursday morning fruit market.

Car/car hire is recommended due to the location, there is free ample parking available at the villa.

If you would like to come and participate during the olive harvest, follow the process through to Extra Virgin Olive Oil, visit the press with the olives and take home some of the olive oil you have helped to produce.
