FULL DAY SHORE EXCURSION - FLORENCE,CHIANTI AND PISA 

This tour is for people who like to visit and see many things in one day.  If you have done the musuems and galleries in Florence and shopping is not a temptation, this may just fit your bill.  Taking less time in Florence, with a short lunch stop, allows the time to visit a fantastic winery in Chianti, you will visit the wine cellars with an english speaking guide and sample some of the wine.  If the wine is to your taste, you can arrange here to have the wine shipped directly to your home, in fact any where world wide. Chianti is an area of about 300 square kilometres of pure Tuscany, right in the centre between Siena and Florence. Entirely hilly, it varies in aspect from the severe and harsh to the sweet and soft, covered in serried rows of vines, green forests or stony meadowland with olive groves and sparse oak trees. The light is really astounding - no view ever seems to be the same from one hour to the next.  The Leaning Tower of Pisa probably carries the most legends of buildings of its kind; perhaps it was deliberately constructed to lean. Perhaps Galileo let objects of different weights fall from the tower and timed the fall to demonstrate his theories. The tower is said to lean approximately 14 feet from the perpendicular. Climbing the tower is surely an evocative experience, and time permitting should not be missed. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the only building in the world where one could get out at each single level and walk around its exterior 360°.
