After an excursion to Salerno,Paestum or Agropoli, just 30 minutes away, and you can visit the Villa for an Italian home cooked lunch, relax in the landscaped Mediterranean garden while lunch is freshly cooked, or take a swim in the 4 x 9 metre outdoor pool. The owners of villa are English with Italian connections, they are very welcoming and you will feel like one of the family. You may if you like assist with the preparation of the meal.
You may also like to visit the famous Villa d'Ayala in the same village. The Villa d'Ayala of Valva is considered to be "one of the most luxuriant and beautiful in Italy"(from the magazine "Bell'Italia" April 1995). The ‘Cavalieri di Malta' who once a year holds a religious ceremony in the chapel owns the Villa today. The Villa has been used as a hospital for the wounded of both World Wars, as well as a coordination centre for the victims of the earthquake that hit Valle del Sele, Valva in 1980. In July and August in the charming "amphitheatre" of Villa d'Ayala famous shows of music and prose are presented with international artists.
