Our exciting tour starts with a visit to Gargiulo extra virgin olive oil factory. We start with a tour of the grounds full of olive, lemon and orange trees, where you will be surrounded by the scent of the different blossoms. A demonstration will take place on the production of Olive Oil from the olive on the tree to the bottle, then a tasting of this fine Olive Oil on freshly baked bread.
On our way to the next stop, the mozzarella cheese factory, we make a fantastic photo stop over the two gulfs, the bay of Salerno and the bay of Naples, for a birds eye view of the famous Amalfi Coast.
On arrival at the cheese factory you will be welcomed with open arms by the family, who have over 50 years of experience. Hands on fun making mozzarella, and of course lots of tasting, participate in a wonderful explanation of the entire process from the 1st drop of milk to the final product.
Light lunch, included in price, is set in the peaceful grounds of the cheese makers, you'll never eat fresher mozzarella!! Lunch is served with local wine and soft drinks
After lunch we head into the heart of Sorrento for Italy's famous ICE CREAM no visit to Italy is the same without ice cream. Mario, 3rd generation artisan of the famous Sorrentine ice cream makers will be happy to show you the secrets . He will create fresh ice cream for you with lots of tasting during the process
Then some free time to wander the quaint shopping streets of Sorrento, or follow us to a limoncello shop for tasting of limoncello, chocolate cello, and cream of limoncello. Local liquor used as a digestive drink by the Italians, a perfect end to a day tasting the delights of Southern Italy.
